PTFE V shaped packings are composed of a male and female component pressing each other and various number of v profile rings between them, the number of rings depending on operating conditions.
V shaped packings provide sealing without any need for modification and mainenance.
As a result of their of their low coefficient of friction and self lubrication, PTFE V rings do not stick onto surfaces, are not blocked, prevent wearing out of axles and shafts.
At high pressure and temperatures, V-rings of compounded PTFE should be preferred.
